Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese therapy that uses gentle, focused pressure to support the body’s natural ability to heal. Rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it works along energy pathways, or meridians, to promote balance, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.
Unlike oil-based massage, Shiatsu is typically performed through light clothing. Practitioners use their fingers, thumbs, palms, and sometimes elbows to apply rhythmic pressure, combined with stretches and gentle joint movements. The experience is both grounding and revitalizing, offering deep relaxation while stimulating energy flow.

Mick offers Shiatsu massage. Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork based on Traditional Chinese medicine and recognises no separation between mind and body both in diagnosis and treatment. The treatment techniques of balancing the energy in the meridians that flow along the body, acupressure and ampuku (Japanese stomach massage) are essential components of treating the body as a whole.
Mick also utilises treatment to the fascia, muscles and other structures to allow correction of physical restrictions and postural imbalance which, in turn can assist with emotional and psychological balance.
