Iridology

Iridology can be used as a functional diagnostic tool used as part of a consultation, empowering the individual to understand their genetic predispositions and susceptibilities. Iridology is a safe and non-invasive way of detecting health imbalances in their earliest stages, previously used by general practitioners (GP’s) it was used in conjunction with information gathering to reveal the status of an individual’s health.

The iris is the portion of the eye showing colour. It reveals the bodies constitution, genetic inherent strengths and weaknesses, health levels, and transitions that take place in a person's body according to their way of life.

The complex iris is composed of hundreds of thousands of nerve endings, which are connected by impulses to every tissue of the body through the brain and nervous system. Therefore, every part of the body supplied by nerves has a corresponding reflex area on the iris, allowing us to assess the organs and tissues in that sector. Iris signs can be interpreted revealing information about the bodies genetic strengths and weakness, the level of inflammation, toxaemia as well as the efficiency of the eliminative systems and organs.

  • Claire Brooks

Claire empowers her clients with naturopathic principles through education and awareness, guiding and supporting them to experience optimal health and vitality. Claire works intuitively using a holistic approach to the inter-relationship of the bodily organs and systems, searching for the root cause of illnesses as opposed to patching up and treating symptoms.

Claire advocates the use of natural and organic whole foods, herbs and relaxation techniques to support homeostasis (balance) to aid recovery from and prevention of illness and disease. Both detoxifying and nourishing our mind, body and soul is essential for longevity and balance in today’s chaotic world.

Having gained a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics 10 years ago Claire felt drawn to further her education from a more natural health perspective and attended both the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and the College of Naturopathic Nutrition (CNN) where she studied iridology, naturopathic nutrition, detoxification, gut-health.
