Warning to stop taking Ibuprofen!

Doctors are warning people to stop taking Ibuprofen immediately.

Due to recent research doctors have found that Ibuprofen is harming your health as well other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

The FDA warns that they can increase your chances of heart attack and stroke.  The longer you continue taking the drug, the higher your risks of developing a heart condition and if you are over 40, the risks are even higher.

It is not just the FDA and doctors trying to scare you, however. A recent research published in The British Medical Journal has studied 7 million patients. The findings were dramatic; participants taking any form of NSAIDS within the 14 days before the study had a 19% higher chance of developing heart failure depending on the dosage.

Out of the 7.6 million people in the study who had been prescribed an NSAID, 92,163 participants landed in a hospital with heart failure.

What is Inflammation?

Inflammation is the body’s natural reaction to infection and injury. It is characterised by redness, swelling, warmth and pain. Inflammation is an immune system response that allows the body to contain and fight infection and or repair damaged tissue by dilating the blood vessels and vascular permeability to increase blood supply to an injured or infected tissue. While a certain amount of inflammation is beneficial, too much inflammation can be debilitating.
