My name is Julian Hayes, feel free to take the time to explore the information I have provided below.

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist & Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with a vast range of experience working within the NHS, Private and voluntary sectors, providing counselling and psychotherapy to clients with diverse needs. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).

I currently work in a variety of settings:
An NHS Macmillan care centre, working with clients and their families who are experiencing difficulties related to cancer and forensic services, where I work with men in both one to one and groups within the prison services and my private practice.

My special interests are gender studies, relationships and family conflict, bereavement and loss, drug and alcohol addiction. I have specific experience in sex and love addiction, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. This variety of setting and experience, enables me to work with a broad spectrum of client issues, incorporating an individualised approach to clients current issues.

“I was frightened to go to my first session, I thought I was the only one that felt the way I did. Julian reassured me that the way I was feeling was perfectly normal for someone in my situation. I came to realise that I was not alone with my issues and that I could feel differently about my situation.”

Find out more about how my Integrative Psychotherapy can help you.

Hopefully, this information will give you ideas of the therapeutic approaches I adopt and assist you to clarify whether these approaches can help in your current situation. As well as offering face to face therapeutic interventions, I also offer services such as telephone and internet based counselling and psychotherapy, for those who find travelling problematic.
